After attending liberal arts college, Abby was compelled to join Community HealthCorps, a community service program providing healthcare to underserved communities across America. Invigorated by the chance to provide vital services to marginalized populations, she went on to work for a childhood literacy program at a community health center and work for school-based health programs. Her work prompted her to explore the clinical side of healthcare and she completed a program at Norwalk Community College to become a medical assistant.
At Anchor Health Initiative, Abby goes above and beyond the normal work load for an MA and is a fierce advocate for the LGBTQ community. Navigating healthcare is difficult, but her mission is to make sure all of our patients get access and coverage for the services they need. Outside of her role within Anchor Health Initiative, Abby is also an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and some nights you’ll find her providing care on an ambulance.
